We have raised just over £6000 over the previous six runs for MacMillan Cancer support in memory of Simon Duffy, the landlord at the White Swan in Newton Upon Rawcliffe near Pickering, who died just before Christmas 2010. The support he and his family received from MacMillan was inestimable as it is to many, many individuals and families on a day to day basis.
Sadly a few more lovely folk havepassedawaysincethelastrun,whattheyallhaveincommonistheexelpararycareprovidedforthemandtheirfamilies
We aim to add at least 1k to that total this year and would cordially invite anyone with on two or three wheels (with an engine) to come along on the day and bung £5 in the pot or, better still, download some sponsor forms and gather some lolly from whoever fancies sponsoring you for the day. If you are reading this and don’t have a bike please tell anyone you what we are up to it would be much appreciated, its a lovely part of the world where we are headed, why not see us off in Howden and greet us at the other end at Cloughton?
